Took me a while to appreciate this, but now think it’s a slice of modern comedy genius. Now one of my fave comedy films. Worth a repeat viewing, when it clicks it really clicks.

So I went to see the first and second film at the cinema and loved them as a kid… they are a staple of my Halloween viewing as and adult… this film is fantastic, ignore the haters that probably were not even born when the originals came out. I think this film respectfully honours the originals and to have pretty much the entire cast of the originals appear as cameos in this film is good enough for me. Get off your keyboard soap boxes, enjoy it for what it is. 👻

But it’s continuity that’s what we invest in, characters if we did not know the beginning then it’s average but knowing destroys it! Imagine star trek with out Lenard, scotty doc and Kirk does not work!
  • No free upgrade to 4k?

Original had humour and intelligence… this is just a bad snl skit.
  • Great cast, flawed writing.

There’s half a fun movie here. The cast are so joyful, with great comic chemistry, that they really deserve another shot at this. Hemsworth provides some funny moments as his hapless Kevin subverts the usual eye-candy role, and them some. The film really collapses in its final act which throws so much at the screen, nothing can stick. A shame because prior to that, there’s genuine fun to be had.

What an awful film to have the same name to a timeless classic! Don’t understand why anyone from the this cast would be upset not to be included! It’s just awful! Don’t bother
