SJP is ok in this but the teenage actress is just terrible and the whole storyline utterly ridiculous. I can see why it was 99p! 😬

This was so awful, I don't know where to begin!! The story was weak, as was the acting. Definitely would not recommend.
  • Had to stop watching part way through it was so bad.

The other reviewers must have watched a different film - this has a wafer-thin plot; spoiler alert - this is the total plot: "Dishy Italian bloke puts life on hold for 20 years in case the American tourist who came on holiday 20 years ago ever returns." Painting a wall and watching it dry will be more entertaining than this exercise in tedium.
  • Just awful

The plot was foreseeable; unconvincing, the dialogue was trite. Quite embarrassing to watch it was so poor. Shame I can’t give it a minus. Just dreadful.

I’ve been waiting for SJP to do a new rom-com for ages and this didn’t disappoint! a really sweet story and a great location too. Eat, Pray, Love or Leap Year come to mind. And nice to see a love story that’s not about 20-somethings!
  • Sweet film for the SJP fans

This story of a teenage daughter that teams up with the mother of her mom's ex-lover to escape their respective "guardians" is quite cute. Reluctant to work together with the older woman at first, the teenager learns to appreciate the wisdom of age. A bit on the cheesy site at times it is still entertaining to watch an old flame re-spark on the chase. A Rom-Com Road Movie set in the lovely Italian landscape, certainly worth the watch.
