Description

Simon (Jason Bateman) and Robyn (Rebecca Hall) are a young married couple whose life is going just as planned until a chance encounter with an acquaintance from Simon’s high school sends their world into a harrowing tailspin. Simon doesn’t recognize Gordo (Joel Edgerton) at first, but after a series of uninvited encounters and mysterious gifts prove troubling, a horrifying secret from the past is uncovered after more than 20 years. As Robyn learns the unsettling truth about what happened between Simon and Gordo, she starts to question: how well do we really know the people closest to us, and are past bygones ever really bygones? From the producer of Whiplash and The Purge, Jason Blum, comes a chilling psychological thriller that marks the feature directorial debut of acclaimed actor and writer Joel Edgerton (The Great Gatsby, Zero Dark Thirty, Warrior).

We wanted a Thriller fix and we got it. It was enjoyable but not much more. We didn't feel as if we had wasted money watching it and didn't start longing for the time back either. I probably wouldn't watch it again but nevertheless we enjoyed it.

the film was good and all but it took a while for it to actually get good the ending was kinda boring and the only thing that my friend jump was the dog barking. this movie left us at some cliff hangers and questioning who it was and it was quite predictable
  • I’ve invented a time machine to stop myself watching this.

Possibly, in fact, definitely the worst film i’ve seen. Not only do i judge myself for paying for a click bait trailer but also do not understand all the positive reviews. I get the idea that no one should tell lies, it comes back around and bites you yada yada yada. But i could watch any childs educational programme to learn that. Not a thriller, just a lousy attempt at making a few pennies. Dont do it, don’t buy it, rent it - i promise you i will have saved you your money & time. If you don’t believe me I’m painting a wall next weekend, come and watch it dry - its the same thing.

Not happy that I wasted over 2 hours of my Christmas Day watching and rewinding this film. It was so weak we kept thinking we'd missed something and rewinding back. But in actual fact the film was just terrible and just when we thought something good was going to happen, it was quickly ruined by another weak twist. How is this even in the charts? After I watched it I was too tired to watch anything else!! Would rather have watched E.T. for the 100th time..
