Description

For nine years, Patrick (Matthew Fox), Jack (Jeffrey Donovan) and his daughter Lu (Quinn McColgan) have outlasted the zombie apocalypse by shutting themselves off in the snowbound town of Harmony. The monsters have seemingly disappeared, with no sign of other survivors, but the constant fear of the unknown is starting to take a toll on this makeshift family. When Patrick goes scavenging for food, he discovers the undead have returned and evolved into something terrifying, beyond imagination. Will the last breath of the human race survive a second zombie apocalypse?

Nice concept, very well acted, good monsters, lacks pace though with lots of slow scenes seemingly to fill the time.

What a great zombie film. I didnt expect very much from this and thought it might be a little slow but no, it rattles along at a great pace, blew its whistle a couple of times when I didnt expect it to and never derailed. Great take on the zombie genre, I particularly like the way the zombies have evolved and the effect that has on the story and the creatures them selves.

Plot has more holes than a sieve. Acting moderate, characters unbelievable. And as for the Zombies; laughable.

Ok, not a bad film but thought there would be more zombie eating or fighting, But did watch and would watch again but when out on sky for free,

Not a bad story, some interesting moments, but mostly it feels a bit B-movie. The suggestion is the world now suffers a permanent winter, but there is absolutely no explanation, which feels a bit like a cheat for this watcher.
  • Creatures from The Descent are back!

The zombies in this film, after a long period on unemployment benefit, have been reanimated. The original creatures were the cave dwellers in Neil Marshall's 'The Descent'. Still white, and still blind. On a more serious note, this film went on about 30 minutes too long. But it was OK, in places...

Captivating plot, hard to follow at times, great actors and a brilliant twist on the zombie genre worth the watch
